3i, the large venture capital house has ordered UKP1.5m of equipment from Hewlett-Packard Ltd and Basingstoke-based Financial Solutions Ltd: 3i intends to automate its accounting, marketing, and financial systems across Europe and is installing 10 Hewlett-Packard HP9000 Series 800 RISC Unix computers running Financial Solutions’ Crown accounting software package.
