Speaking at London’s Mobile Commerce World Europe, Blakebee said that although he believed the networks would succeed technically, they would fail to attract sufficient subscribers to stay afloat.
The UK regulatory body has allowed operators to share 3G networks in an effort to cut costs but, according to Blakesbee, these measures are insufficient to save everybody from the considerable cost of establishing a 3G service.
