3Com Corp, San Jose announced a return to the Token-Ring network market yesterday with the introduction of its TokenLink III 16/4 family of network adaptors, Reuter reports from San Francisco. The product line consists of a 16-bit AT adaptor, available immediately at $800, a 32-bit EISA adaptor at $1,100 and a 16-bit Micro Channel adaptor at $800, both available in October. 3Com also launched a plethora of structured wiring hubs, bridges and routers, saying that it was was expanding its product portfolio in three areas: network adaptors, hubs and internetworking.
