It’s sighs of relief all round at 3Com Corp: the Santa Clara local network systems company, which last month warned that it might report a loss for its fiscal first quarter to August 31 (CI No 1,237) now says that orders and sales in August will result in positive earnings per share for the period; orders for the quarter are now seen at about $95m, and sales about $89m.
