3Com Corp has now officially opened its new European manufacturing facility in Blanchardstown, Dublin, Ireland: it represents an investment of $16.5m and is 3Com’s first production plant outside the US; it is expected to employ 175 people within four years, and it was specifically designed for production of 3Com’s network adaptor boards.
