3390-2 DISK DRIVES FILE ACROSS THE ATLANTIC

A steady stream of 3390-2 disk drives is travelling across the Atlantic to the US from Europe as Europeans worry about the manufacturing problems that beset the IBM Deutschland GmbH plant that makes them and US customers rely on IBM to fix any problems in the unlikely event that they show up: our US associate Technology News of America hears that IBM Corp is backlogged eight weeks on the power conversion units – 50Hz to 60Hz – for the things, but does not expect the traffic to continue much longer.
