HTC unveiled the photos of a 24-karat gold variant of its M9 smartphone that were taken from an iPhone 6.
A Twitter user spotted the reflection of a person with an iPhone 6 on the bottom right hand corner of the shiny new phone, who apparently took the photo that were later released on HTC’s official Twitter page.
After the news leaked, HTC immediately deleted the tweet and it was replaced with another one, this time no iPhone was visible.
Apart from the iPhone, the photo showed that the back panel of the golden phone consists of the Champions League logo, along with the name of the finalists and the date of the final match, as the phone was launched to celebrate the UEFA Champions League Final.
HTC has not given out details of the phone but it is expected to have all the features present in the M9, which includes an 5.2" Ultra HD 2K Display , 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 64-bit Octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, external memory of 32 GB, and 20MP Duo Primary Camera.
The company has not announced the number of units of the new phone it plans to manufacture and sell.
