A new high-tech venture capital fund has been launched in Israel. The $100m Omega fund has the backing of the Clal Group, Banque National de Paris and the US based Rind Butler Group. The fund’s chief executive will be Hillel Milo from Clal. The new fund, which aims to concentrate on healthcare, telecommunications and information technology, will offer companies it invests in help and advice relating to strategic partnerships and marketing in the US and Europe. Rind Butler founded the $20m Nitzanim fund in 1993 and has backed Galileo and ESC Medical in the past.
