No doubt you spend a large amount of your working day on the phone, but not every phone is ideally suited to your business needs, perhaps you need one which is extremely secure, or durable or needs a top quality camera.

CBR has compiled a list of the best phones to suit your needs.

1. Security – Privacy

Perhaps as part of your job you need a particularly security conscience phone, or perhaps you are just a private person that needs to know their phone contents are safe.

Well look no further than Silent Circle’s Blackphone. This device is built from the ground up with privacy in mind with a private design and running an Android based operating system, PrivatOS.

The phone even allows you to run separate, self -contained work and personal spaces and allows you to remotely wipe your phone. It also provides encryption and strict privacy and security features for calls, emails, messaging and apps.

2. Cheap

Sometimes you just want a good, cheap phone that will get you through the day with ease and without too much sophistication but everything you need.

Huawei’s Honor 4C will give you a 5-inch display along with 8GB internal memory, a 13MP camera and all the other features you’d want. At around £150 it is a good phone with a number of features that’ll get you through the day.

3. Burner

Are you a spy? Or just want a cheap disposable phone because you’ve lost your last one and are waiting for a replacement.

These prepaid phones can also be useful for emergencies and for those concerned about being tracked. If this is the case then the old school Motorola EX431G prepaid phone from TracFone might be for you.

A full qwerty keyboard with Bluetooth and wireless capabilities and basic camera can all be yours for £10.

4. Camera

Many people enjoy taking pictures with their phones, but sometimes the run of the mill phone camera just won’t do.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has the best camera to suit all your photographic needs. It offers a 16MP camera which is the same as the previous model, but it has significantly improved the image quality.

Accurate colours are produced thanks to the use of an infrared sensor and delivers roughly 30% larger aperture over its predecessor.

It also offers phase-detection autofocus, facial recognition, focus tracking and optical image stabilisation. It will set you back £600.

5. Multi-purpose

Do you want it all? Security, durability, a good camera, ease of use, well you are probably going to have to splash the cash to get everything you need.

Huawei’s P8 is a strong competitor as is Samsung’s Galaxy S6, but the expected winner is Apple’s iPhone 6.

Let’s face it, the phone offers pretty much everything you want, a good camera, it’s easy to use and you have access to thousands of apps to add features. The handset alone will set you back £539 for the 4.7 inch display.

6. Small

Fed up with large clunky phones? If your pockets are already full and a phablet is the last thing you want then the NEM Land Rover phone might be for you.

This durable little phone gives you a 2.45 inch screen and a 2MP camera, it isn’t much bigger than a lighter and you can find on eBay for £64.

7. Large

You aren’t quite sure about a tablet but you think a phablet might be about right for you. Well the market is growing and there is plenty of choice but Samsung steals the show with its Galaxy Note 4.

It provides a 5.7 inch HD display, a 16 megapixel and the Snapdragon 805 processor but it may set you back as much as £534.

8. Battery

It is one of the most annoying thing for phone users, a short battery life. What’s the point of having a mobile if you are constantly on the lookout for power points.

So to make sure you get through the work day without a struggle then you should go for the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G LTE.
It offers 14 hours 43 minutes of constant web surfing over wireless and beats the next best HTC One M8 by almost five hours.

It’s available for upwards of £180, but what you get in longevity you lose in screen resolution and camera quality in low light.

9. Stylish

Style is relative to the person, one person’s stylish may not be someone else’s cup of tea. So maybe you think gold plated is the most stylish. The Gresso Luxury phone may set you back £25,950 but the device is made of gold and African Blackwood.

There are even two versions, one with pink gold and one made entirely from African Blackwood. Unsurprisingly with something like this you can have it customised to your taste and comes with 32GB of storage, a 13MP camera and Gorilla Glass 5inch full HD screen.

10. Durable

Nokia’s were always renowned for being extremely durable, but what is out there on the smartphone market that you can drop and not have a mild heart attack?

NAUTIZ X1 is the phone for adventurers – and the clumsy. Running on Android 4.0 or Windows 6.5 operating systems it meets MIL-STD-810G military standards for withstanding humidity, vibration, drops and extreme temperatures and it is also fully waterproof and impervious to dust and sand.

For all this durability you will have to pay £646.
