Fujitsu has reported a strong upsurge in UK storage sales and is now expecting to double the number of terabytes it will ship in the current year.

During the period October to March, Fujitsu saw the volume of storage it shipped in terms of capacity rise by more than 100% in the UK and its storage revenues grow by close to a third, when compared to the same period last year. Fujitsu claims it gained dozens of new customers in the UK and hundreds across Europe and achieved a 16% year-on-year growth in sales revenues in EMEA during the fourth quarter of 2009, according to figures published by IDC.
