Wilson Electronics has launched a new product line called the Cradle Booster. The company claimed that the new offerings amplify weak cellular signals and practically end dropped calls and data dead zones. They also provide a place to recharge the phone in its own cradle making it a hands-free accessory for Bluetooth and on-the-phone GPS users.
The iBooster for the iPhone is a plug and play kit that reportedly fits with the iPhone 3GS and also fits earlier iPhones. The company’s C-Booster model has been developed for the BlackBerry Curve.
The company said that the plug-and-play iBooster kit allows users reduce dropped calls, increase data rates in weak signal areas and originate calls from the dreaded “dead spots”. The iBooster and its external vehicular antenna increase iPhone’s output power to the cell site and improve its ability to hear signals it normally cannot.
Joe Banos, COO of Wilson Electronics, said: The Cradle Booster line is the first cell signal booster on the market that is specifically designed for these phones.
The company also revealed details about the U-Booster, a universal Cradle Booster. The company said that with this offering, the Palm Pre, G1, Treo, or any other phone will have enhanced signal coverage.
