Vasco Data Security has unveiled new Digipass as a Service (DaaS) authentication model, a new service to its authentication product suite that incorporates the user, the enterprise and e-commerce, and offers on demand identity and transaction security.
The company said that the new offering allows customers to secure enterprise and end-user applications with one Digipass. It also eliminates the necessity to have different passwords for various applications. The DaaS authentication service is building on the existing model and provides a platform where consumers can access their online bank, and access his/her social network account.
The company claims that the new offering benefits owners through ease of distribution and fulfillment, shared back office costs, time to market and protection against lost revenue due to account sharing. In addition, it provides an opportunity for additional services to end users, potential source of revenue and cross marketing with providers.
Jan Valcke, president and COO of Vasco, said: The launch of Vasco’s Digipass Authentication Services (DaaS) offering is a major step in the company’s evolution. We believe that the combination of Vasco’s DaaS with our existing end-to-end authentication solutions is bringing any existing online application into the reach of Vasco’s market leading Digipass authentication.
