Most of the UK Internet service providers (ISPs) have started blocking access to two websites accused of violating copyright laws.
The blocks follows UK courts ruling in favor of the Motion Picture Association (MPA), which accused the two sites of breaking the UK Copyright, Design and Patents Act by allowing users to download or stream movies.
The sites Movie2K and Download4All have been banned by UK ISPs including BT, Virgin Media, Sky, TalkTalk and EE.
Several reports suggest that the MPA has identified 25 sites that it plans to block for violating copyright laws.
In May 2012, UK high court ordered several country’s ISPs to block access to the file sharing site, Pirate Bay.
Last year, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) planned to sue Pirate Party UK after it refused to shut down its Pirate Bay proxy service.
Earlier in 2013, a UK court ruled in favor of the BPI to block Kickass Torrents, H33T and Fenopy websites.
