SunGard has acquired 365 Hosting, a Dublin, Ireland-based cloud computing and data centre services company. The acquisition is not expected to have material impact on SunGard results.
Privately-owned 365 Hosting delivers both data centre managed IT services and on-demand computing services within its cloud computing environment. It operates from two secure data centres in the Dublin area and facilitates customer self-service across all aspects of the service procurement process.
SunGard expects the deal to provide access to a new geographic market and cloud computing expertise, while 365 Hosting extends its product range with self managed IT services, business continuity and disaster recovery offerings.
