Stonebranch, a provider of managed file transfer and secure business communications, has unveiled a secure ad hoc file transfer offering Scribbos:Intellicrypt that encrypts data on the desktop with support for dynamic key exchange and management for cryptography using RealMe, a security infrastructure software suite from GlobalCrypto.

With Scribbos:Intellicrypt, the data will be encrypted before it leaves the computer and is only decrypted once it is delivered to the recipient’s machine within the Scribbos:Intellicrypt Web application, the company said.

According to Stonebranch, the Scribbos:Intellicrypt simplifies the use of PKI (public key infrastructure) by using embedding cryptographic keys inside a user-selected image to secure message and attached data, enabling data to be secured at SAS-70 Level II audited data centre.

Wolfgang Bothe, CEO of Scribbos, said: Key industry requirements such as HITECH in healthcare or PCI standards for merchants and financial institutions require strong identity management and encryption requirements at the desktop as users exchange customers’ personal healthcare information or credit card information. Scribbos:Intellicrypt provides an easy to use PKI set of capabilities reducing the complexity and ongoing management for business owners, end users and IT organizations alike.
