Seapine Software, a provider of ALM tools, has released TestTrack RM that manages and tracks project requirements throughout the entire development lifecycle. The TestTrack RM is part of the company’s recently released TestTrack 2010 product that includes new versions of issue tracking and test case management applications.
According to Seapine, the new application is developed on the platform of TestTrack Pro. It allows users to manage all aspects of requirements definition, including planning, traceability, impact, review processes, measurement, and reporting. It also ensures team members to stay informed of each other’s tasks and progress by centralising requirements management, automating the requirements planning and review process, and triggering RSS feeds and email communications.
In addition, the new application integrates with TestTrack Pro, TestTrack TCM, and other software configuration management tools to automate test case creation and provide traceability of development artifacts. It allows users to maintain requirements documents in a central repository with version control.
The TestTrack RM application also includes features to meet regulatory compliance requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11, Sarbanes-Oxley, and others.
Reportedly, Segue Technologies, a long-time customer of Seapine Software, is an early adopter of TestTrack RM.
Mark Shapiro, chief technology officer of Segue Technologies, said: Early in the specification phase, we were trying to formalise on a requirements definition process and select the best tool to employ.
“After a successful beta evaluation of TestTrack RM, its seamless integration with our other Seapine tools, and reasonable pricing, we were sold. The Segue requirements management team now has a complete solution for its software development process and looks forward to realising its many benefits.”
