The Planon Group, a provider of enterprise real estate and facilities management software, has announced the introduction of Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) which reportedly offers the ability to manage both fixed and flexible workspaces in one ‘out of the box’ system.
According to Planon, the latest version (2009a) is designed to improve environmental sustainability of companies by utilisation of facilities and real estate assets. It is aimed at reducing energy footprint and energy consumption with its space management capability and integration of Microsoft Outlook scheduling.
The company says that the new version offers single point of control for monitoring, managing and reporting energy usage of facility resources for energy management and supports building rating systems, including LEED in the US and BREEAM in Europe.
The latest version supports fixed and flexible office management, work from home and campus mobile scenarios. It enables companies to shift workspace designation from fixed to flexible and creates and tracks the work orders needed to process the reservation to enable facilities and real estate professionals to serve flexible workspace demand.
The company said that the information about flexible workspace is integrated into the core IWMS system to give executive management an overview of how space is being utilised.
