Oce, a provider of digital document management services, and Sefas Innovation, a publisher of document production software, have formed a partnership to expand market availability of post-composition software tools.

As part of the partnership, Oce will offer Sefas Open Print Remake software, a print stream re-engineering tool that allows companies to perform complex document enhancements without changing the original application.

Oce said that by offering Sefas Open Print Remake software as part of its Prisma portfolio, customers will benefit from one integrated workflow system to perform print stream enhancements, such as moving, colorizing, adding or removing information on pages. At the same time, Sefas is expected to offer Oce PRISMAproduction output management software products in the North American market.

According to Oce, the partnership also provides a structure for collaboration on larger automated document factory implementations that involve advanced print stream optimization and multi-site enterprise management. As a result, customers benefit from proven control and better automation at the enterprise level.

Bruno Henry, COO of Sefas Innovation, said: Our partnership with Oce allows us to be a single source for organizations looking to implement a fully automated document factory. The pairing of the capabilities overcomes many of the challenges that can hinder true automation and tracking and provides our customers a fully integrated document production platform.
