Nimsoft, a business unit of CA, has released a new software as a service unified monitoring system that enables enterprises and managed service providers to maintain visibility into their IT infrastructure including both internal assets and those in the cloud.
Nimsoft said that its new offering that enables customers to implement NMS Unified Monitoring capabilities under an adaptable subscription model, allowing them to pay only for the level of monitoring they use at any given time.
The company said that Nimsoft On Demand monitors external IT resources including SaaS applications, and infrastructure cloud services. It also monitors internal resources including Microsoft Exchange servers and virtualised data centres powered by VMware and Citrix.
Gary Read, senior vice president and general manager of the Nimsoft Business Unit at CA, said: Nimsoft customers and prospects can now turn to the cloud with confidence, knowing that Nimsoft On Demand allows them to take advantage of the flexibility and cost savings of SaaS without sacrificing the quality, breadth or ease-of-use of their monitoring capabilities.
