According to the company, the government agency will deploy Nice’s full range of advanced security technologies, which will all be integrated to provide the city’s security status at any given moment and from a large number of possible angles.

The service selected includes IP-based video surveillance with content analytics, License Plate Recognition and Face Capture, as well as hand held GPS-based video terminals and mobile video sensors. In addition, security personnel at the command and control center will be using Nice Inform, the company’s multi-media command and control solution.

Haim Shani, CEO of Nice Systems, said: “We are happy about this project, constituting the single largest order we have received to date. The order reflects our strategy to offer and implement security projects, leveraging our range of advanced security technologies for city center protection.”

In the first week of November 2008, Nice introduced cross-channel trading compliance service, the Actimize Trading Interaction Surveillance Service. The service combines insight from transactional data with voice analytics to meet regulatory requirements for monitoring of market abuse, insider trading and other regulatory issues. The service automates and enhances trading surveillance and the effectiveness of regulatory investigations.

Nice Systems is a provider of insight from interactions services, powered by the convergence of analytics of unstructured multimedia content and transactional data – from telephony, web, email, radio, video, and other data sources.
