LG has teased us with more details of the upcoming smartwatch called G Watch, which will have an always on screen as well as being water and dust resistant.

The company has launched a dedicated website for the G Watch.

LG had announced the device last month, and it says it will be available in stealth black and champagne gold colour with a black and white wrist strap.

The new smart watch from the South Korean major will compete against Sony’s Smartwatch 2, Pebble and Samsung’s Gear devices.

No physical buttons on the watch suggests that it could be fully touch screen.

The "Ok Google" feature, found on Android mobiles, suggests it could have a built in microphone for a user to speak commands or ask questions.

According to reports G Watch will feature 512MB RAM and will come with 4GB of internal memory while 1.65-inch screen will come with 280×280 pixel resolution.

According to a study from Juniper Research, smartwatch shipment is expected to reach 36 million units per year by 2018, rising from one million this year.

The increase in shipments will be driven by a new raft of extra functionalities including tracking fitness and sports activities, or making payments, the report added.
