Microsoft will not support SQL Server 2000 from 09 April 2013, 13 years since its launch on 30 November 2000.
Further, Microsoft has advised the SQL Server 2000 users to upgrade to SQL Server 2012 or any supported versions of SQL Server.
Microsoft’s partner WardyIT is responsible for offering a complimentary upgrade workshop for each organisation to detect and determine any blockers that are avoiding an upgrade from SQL Server 2000, and develop a roadmap for the upgrade.
The workshop will be offered until the 30 May 2013.
Microsoft has recently launched revamped Skype for Windows 8 operating system, which is aimed at offering users more control over aspects including who can contact them by adding the facility to block contacts.
In addition, the revamped Skype 1.6 offers enhanced loading speed and reliability all through the application, which would also improve load speed.
