Microsoft has released updates for the Bing Voice Search app for its Windows phone that is said to improve the speed and accuracy of voice to text and voice search.

The updates have been added closely working with Microsoft Research’s work on deep neural networks (DNN), which detects patterns similar to the way biological systems recognise patterns.

The update has doubled the voice recognition speed of the application to allow the users to get faster results and has improved the word-error rate by 15% to ensure more accurate results compared to the previous versions.

According to the company, the update has DNN networks, which added new acoustic model and decoder.

The updates are also said to have combined three technologies including machine translation, text-to-speech conversion, and automatic speech recognition.
