M86 Security, a provider of web and messaging security products, has unveiledWebMarshal 6.5, a web gateway product that enables organisations to address three business issues -web threat security, web access control and data leakage prevention.
The company said that WebMarshal 6.5 is the first product to integrate technologies from the former Marshal and 8e6 Technologies. With this release, M86 Security introduces TRACEnet, a web threat security service, along with several other new features and upgrades.
According to M86 Security, the new web gateway includes features such as TRACEnet, a new web security service that enables WebMarshal to block access to malicious phishing Web sites, anonymous proxies and focuses on blended threats and sites associated with botnets; Granular Filtering to provide customers with improved access control policies and web activity reporting and Proxy caching feature that allows caching of HTTP web content to provide response for users.
In addition, WebMarshal 6.5 also includes SafeSearch feature that enables organisations to enforce use of the safe search features in major search engines such as Google and Yahoo!.
