It is six years since Inviqa, a web development and PHP specialist, was founded and already it has expanded it’s workforce by 4,900% to 100 across four offices.
What’s more, they’re also interviewing to add another 200 to its team and on the hunt for acquisitions across Europe and China.
When borrowing is difficult and when the government is introducing measures to help start-ups with varied results and U-turns, what is the secret of its success?
Yair Spitzer, Inviqa’s CEO and co-founder, told CBR why the company has gone from strength to strength.
"The reason is because we understand our community. The PHP community is made up of thousands and thousands of PHP enthusiasts who really want to be involved in building sophisticated PHP applications.
"The people we hire can’t just be 21-year-old enthusiasts, but software engineers. And that is difference between us and all the other companies out there providing PHP expertise.
"They all have a degree in computer science, they all understand large enterprises and things like architecture, scalability, performace."
