Private cloud company Intalio has released BPM 6.0, which provides customers an integrated platform for managing the business processes, while optimising for deployment in a cloud computing environment.
According to Intalio, the new release includes a collection of application engines such as a Business Rules engine, a Document engine, and a User Interface engine, which memory footprints have been reduced to support their deployment on top of virtualisation infrastructure such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Intalio said that with the use of Decision Tables, the business users can create business rules, which rely on a spreadsheet metaphor. These rules can then be invoked by the process at any point in time, giving control to process owners and lessening the dependency on IT staff.
The company said that its AJAX allows developers to create forms that can streamline processes from the end user perspective, while its ECM and Portal integrate business functionality required for online collaboration and for managing the flow of information throughout the enterprise.
Ismael Ghalimi, CEO and co-founder of Intalio, said: “Intalio|BPM 6.0 gives us the foundation to build a truly unique Platform as a Service layer as part of our Private Cloud Computing offering. Its components are natively architected for deployment on top of a virtualization infrastructure, which is the most scalable and cost-effective way to provide multi-tenancy for large private clouds.”
