Fujitsu has released its new Raku-Raku Phone 7 that is designed to make the Internet more accessible to senior citizens by introducing a one-touch access button to the i-mode mobile Internet system.
The new model features 3-inches transflective wide VGA LCD display and is equipped with the Raku-Raku Site Button, which gives one-touch access to i-mode. In addition, it provides users the access to Raku-Raku Japan Reports, a special website with seasonal travel and gourmet information tailored to the needs of senior citizens.
Other new features of the Raku-Raku Phone 7 include the upgraded smart camera with 8.1-megapixel resolution, GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) for international roaming, and advanced human-sensing applications. It also comes equipped with a ‘speak and search’ function that allows users to utter simple commands into the phone to conduct a variety of searches.
Raku-Raku Phone 7 also features Naoko Takahashi’s Walking Clinic application that is designed to help senior citizens enjoy walking and stay fit. It analyses the user’s stride and gives advice accordingly, and also connects to i Bodymo to display routes and workout statistics.
In addition, the phone also includes one-touch opening, water-resistant (IPX5/IPX7/IPX8) and dust-resistant (IPX5) features. It comes loaded with Japanese, Japanese-English, and English-Japanese electronic dictionaries and embodies ‘ETGA Swing Lesson’ application that monitors and measures golf-swing movements when the mobile is clipped to the user’s waist.
