The UK and Europe are trailing some of their global counterparts when it comes to adoption of enterprise mobility solutions, according to analysis from Kable.
According to the Global ICT Customer Insight report, 70.8 percent of UK respondents and 71.0 percent of European respondents as a whole have mobile device management solutions in place already, with 56.2 percent and 59.9 percent respectively considering investment in the next two years.
60.7 percent in the UK had employee-facing mobile apps and 56.7 percent had customer apps, compared to 58.3 percent and 54.7 percent respectively in Europe.
However, the UK was behind the rest of Europe on tablet computing adoption, with a figure of 52.8 percent compared to 57.8 percent in Europe.
Worldwide, however, Europe was considerably behind countries in Asia for mobile device management, where 77.1 percent already had it and 69 percent were considering investment in the next two years.
Asia also led in app development, with 63.8 percent already having and 63.2 percent considering investment in employee-facing mobile applications, with the figures of 57.4 percent and 62.1 percent respectively for customer-facing applications.
North America was also ahead of Europe; 73.5 percent, 61.9 percent, 59.5 percent and 58.0 percent already had mobile device management, employee-facing apps, tablet computing and customer-facing mobile applications respectively.
The slowest region at adopting enterprise mobility was Middle East & Africa, with figures of 57 percent, 47.7 percent, 44.8 percent and 42.4 percent respectively. Central and Latin America followed with
All figures come from Kable’s ICT Customer Insight survey, which polled 2685 respondents, from across the world in Q4 2014. The survey findings include data on hardware budget allocation, telecommunications budget allocation and software budget allocation.
