EPM Live, a provider of enterprise SharePoint Project and Work Management applications, has launched Outlook Publisher, a Microsoft Outlook add in that allows synchronisation with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft SharePoint.

The new offering enables EPM Live WorkEngine customers leverage Microsoft Outlook to extend the collaboration tools available to maximise productivity.

The company said the users can convert Microsoft Outlook emails into work items directly in Microsoft SharePoint.

The new Outlook Publisher functionality includes full integration with Microsoft Outlook and ribbon controls allows user to create list items directly in Outlook.

Email threading and monitoring functionality is used for tracking information such as ID, date and time which can be automatically produced for item identification as items are created in Outlook.

In addition, flexible configuration tools allow flexible field configuration and list mapping.

The company said that the Outlook Publisher can be used for any work item in SharePoint including but not limited to help desk tickets, work requests, task lists, action items, risks, issues, IT requests, maintenance requests, and bug lists.
