Security services provider Computer Services has partnered with mobile banking application provider Malauzai Software to deliver SmartApps, a suite of iPhone and Android platform banking apps, to financial institutions nationwide.
To supplement existing text- and browser-based banking features SmartApps provide a complete mobile banking platform.
CSI said it integrates the company’s core system directly to SmartApps, which enables banks to provide comfortable mobile banking experience on a smart phone that’s independent from an Internet Banking platform.
The applications are automatically updated to ensure bank customers that they always have the most current version available on their phone. Customers can download the bank-branded app directly from mobile application stores, decreasing barriers to adoption.
The SmartApps is secured by ATTUS Technologies (a CSI company) WatchDOG CIP verification technology, which utilises multifactor authentication to confirm customer identity, said CSI.
CSI CEO Steve Powless said because the apps are tied directly to CSI’s core system, financial institutions can service business and retail banking customers with one mobile software product that can be customised to fit the needs of each customer.
"Existing mobile systems are usually built on Internet banking platforms, requiring a different application for each customer segment," Powless said.
"Banks need to recognise that mobile banking is projected to be the fastest growing channel," said Tom Shen, co-founder of Malauzai.
"SmartApps provide a secure, easy way for banks to offer a service that has unlimited growth potential," said Powless.
