CSC has won a major intelligence community agency task order to provide cyber services. The contract is valued approximately at $27m for five-years, with a one-year base period and four one-year options. This contract was awarded to the company during the its fiscal 2010 second quarter that ended Oct. 2, 2009.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will ensure systems are capable of defending against cyber attacks by providing vulnerability analysis to identify potential computer and network threats and penetration testing to evaluate network security. CSC has provided vulnerability analysis and penetration testing support for this customer since 2003.
Earlier in October 2009, CSC has won a task order from the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide IT infrastructure and cyber support to the National Protection and Programs Directorate’s Office of Cyber Security and Communications. It was awarded under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract, originally awarded to CSC in July 2006.
