CompuCom Systems, an IT outsourcing company, is integrating new 2010 Intel Core vPro processor family into its Integrated Infrastructure Management approach (IIM).
The company claims that the new integrated tools of its IIM offering, built on an ITIL compliant platform, leverages cross-platform ITILv3 processes across all the service towers and support the virtualisation and automation features of Intel vPro processor technology, extending remote IT asset management to reduce onsite support time and cost.
CompuCom said that the customisable client and enterprise offerings delivered by them in 2010 will feature Intel Core i7 and i5 processors. It enables clients to maintain productivity with features such as Intel TurboBoost and Hyper-Threading technologies.
The company said that its Intel anti-theft technology helps prevent notebooks from being stolen, sounding an alarm and disabling the unit when moved. New recovery features also enable authorised personnel to restore locked devices.
In addition, deploying the new 2010 Intel Core vPro processors, extends the ability to remotely configure, diagnose, isolate and repair infected PCs, even when those units are unresponsive.
