Carahsoft Technology, a provider of government IT services, has won a US Department of Defense Enterprise Software Initiative blanket purchase agreement for Adobe Server software and related services. Products offered through the contract include Adobe LiveCycle, ColdFusion, and Acrobat Connect.

The blanket purchase agreement is open for ordering by all Department of Defense (DoD) components including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, the US Coast Guard, NATO, and the Intelligence Community, among others.

Carahsoft said that Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite is an integrated server system that blends data capture, information assurance, document output, process management and content services to create and deliver rich and engaging applications that reduce paperwork, accelerate decision-making and help ensure regulatory compliance.

According to Carahsoft, the Defense Information Systems Agency uses Acrobat Connect, Adobe’s web-conferencing and e-learning platform. Its feature-rich, secure web communication is currently installed in more than 150 independent locations and supports thousands of DoD and Intelligence Community users worldwide.

Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft, said: As Adobe’s Master General Services Administration Schedule holder, we recognize the importance of the Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) Program to our DoD customers and are pleased to make Adobe’s Enterprise and Server solutions available to them.
