Bamboo Solutions has released Workflow Conductor, a new application suite designed to enable business process automation and augments its portfolio of add-ons and companion tools for Microsoft SharePoint.
The company claims that the new application suite address the traditional barriers to broader adoption of business process automation, including ease of use, cost of ownership and integration with existing IT infrastructure.
Bamboo said that the Workflow Conductor is optimised for business users such as program managers, project managers and other information workers across the enterprise; and features a drag-and-drop interface that enables automation of business processes without coding or IT intervention.
The Workflow Conductor is built on Microsoft’s Windows Workflow Foundation, ensuring compatibility with Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and the .Net platform. In addition, it will leverage Microsoft’s ongoing investments in Windows Workflow Foundation to provide new features and capabilities in future versions, the company said.
Mike Tanner, CEO of Bamboo Solutions, said:“Our vision for Workflow Conductor includes interoperability with both local systems and hosted instances of SharePoint, including SharePoint Online, and cloud-based environments built on platforms like Microsoft Azure.
“Workflow Conductor will leverage our existing portfolio of products and our upcoming line of Cloud Parts, to automate business processes that extend beyond the firewall.
