Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (Arrow ECS), a business segment of Arrow Electornics, has expanded Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) portfolio with offerings for public cloud offerings for servers and storage.
The company said that the public cloud offerings are accessed through the Internet and replace a company’s information technology systems.
The public IaaS offerings are a part of the Arrow Fusion North American professional services program, and include multiple levels of off-site server hosting, ranging from colocation to fully managed hosting and public cloud offerings.
The new offerings are powered by Terremark, and allow companies to provide and manage their computing resources through self-service applications that are supported by 12 data-centre facilities on multiple continents.
In addition, these data-centre facilities have connectivity from 160 global network carriers and have round-the-clock support.
Arrow ECS vice president of Arrow Fusion business unit Lee Fawcett said that the company is pleased to provide resellers with a cost-effective alternative to on-site servers that resellers can present to their customers.
"It also gives resellers’ customers increased flexibility with managing their technology needs, as all or part of their infrastructure can be outsourced and managed through Arrow ECS’ IaaS offerings," Fawcett said.
