ZTE, a provider of telecommunications equipment and network offerings, has partnered with IT service provider ICT, based in Bonn, Germany, to offer fixed network products to enterprise customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

As per the agreement, the German firm will sell ZTE’s products and offerings for broadband enhancements to both public and private sector customers.

ZTE said that their collaboration with ICT represents its first step towards establishing an independent sales channel for enterprise offerings in Germany.

ZTE Deutschland GmbH already launched a dedicated channel sales department at the beginning of the second half of 2011, with the objective of establishing channel operations.

ZTE Düsseldorf head of Channel Sales, Enterprise Customers, Uwe Prasse said over the past few years, their growth strategy in Europe proved to be very successful.

"Therefore, it is the time to enter the enterprise customer market for direct sales and to further enhance their market share based on innovative broadband products. With this, ZTE Deutschland takes a leading position in the enterprise customer sales of ZTE in Europe," Prasse said.

ICT general manager Jürgen Pallien said the relationship between ICT and ZTE highlights a general trend: A steadily increasing number of globally operating corporations rely on local service providers, due to their on-site availability with fast and geographically close customer support.
