Virtustream, a cloud software and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider, has been certified by SAP AG to provide hosting services for SAP HANA users.
Virtusteam, which is among one of the first to be certified by SAP, recently closed a $40m (£25m) Series D investment round led by SAP.
The investment comes after a long-standing partnership between the two companies, where SAP was both a partner and customer of Virtustream.
Virtustream, which also provides embedded backup and disaster recovery services for all enterprise class applications, said it would real-time applications running on the SAP HANA platform. .
Michael Hoch, VP of cloud advisory services at Virtustream, said: "We are extremely proud to have achieved this certification from SAP, and we’re excited to set a high standard for how to deliver enterprise class cloud services to SAP HANA customers.
"The certification will further enable us to bring real-time applications running on the SAP HANA platform to market, unlocking new insight for companies in every industry."
Virtustream recently teamed up with SafeNet to allow users that need to protect sensitive data to migrate to virtual and cloud environments safely.
