Verizon Wireless, a provider of wireless voice and 3G network, and Samsung Telecommunications America, a mobile phone provider in the United States, have unveiled the Samsung Fascinate, a Galaxy S smartphone.

According to both the companies, the new Fascinate is powered by Android 2.1, and is equipped with support for Google Mobile Services, including, Gmail, YouTube, Android Market and more.

In addition, the Fascinate comes with a four-inch Super AMOLED touch screen display, Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, and an integrated entertainment, multimedia, messaging and social networking experience.

The features and specifications of Fascinate include, advanced touch screen gestures capabilities; multiple file formats supported, including DivX support; virtual QWERTY Keyboard Featuring Swype Technology; 5.0-megapixel camera/camcorder; WiFi Connectivity (802.11 b/g/n); stereo Bluetooth Technology; and 2GB internal memory expandable to 32GB, 16GB microSD included with handset.

Further, the Fascinate also comes with lifestyle features including V CAST Music with Rhapsody; Samsung’s Social Hub; AllShare Application; Daily Briefing; Write and Go; and Weather Clock.
