Sony Ericsson has unveiled two new phones Zylo and Spiro, which offer walkman functionality and provides users with access to social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

According to Sony Ericsson, the new phones feature TrackID that allows consumers to access the name and artist of a track they hear. Both phones also feature the human curvature design that is consistent across the whole Sony Ericsson portfolio. Human curvature also incorporates an ergonomic keypad which makes the handset easy to use.

The company said that Zylo comes with Sony Ericsson walkman music player, HD FLAC format, 3.2 megapixel camera, Access NetFront web browser, Google Search, Google Maps, USB mass storage, USB High Speed 2.0 support, 2.6-inch, phone memory up to 260MB, and supports up to 16GB with microSD memory card. Zylo measures 103 x 52 x 11.5 (16) mm and weighs around 115 grams.

The Spiro comes with 2.0 megapixel camera, 2.2-inch screen, Obigo Q7 web browser, 3.5mm audio jack, Micro USB connector, USB mass storage, USB High Speed 2.0 support, Iconic Sony Ericsson Walkman music player, phone memory up to 5MB and  supports up to 16GB with microSD memory card.

Sony Ericsson Spiro supports GSM GPRS/EDGE 900/1800 and GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/1900, while Zylo supports UMTS HSPA 900/2100 and GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS HSPA 850/900/1800/1900 and GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900.

Sony Ericsson Spiro is expected to be available in selected markets from early Q3 in  contrast black, sunset pink, spring green and stealth black colours, while Zylo will be available in selected markets from early Q3 in jazz black, chacha silver and swing pink colours.
