Samsung Electronics has released the new 7-inch tablet, GALAXY Tab 3, expanding its tablet line up.

The device is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual Core processor that is claimed offer faster downloads and sharing as well as easy access to videos, apps, games, and the web.

Running on an Android 4.1 version known as Jelly Bean, the tablet will be available with either 8GB or 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB with external memory.

The tablet has a 7-inch WSVGA TFT screen with resolution of 169 PPI, a 3MP rear camera, an 1.3MP front camera and comes with connectivity options of WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and GPS.

Power for the device is supplied through a Lithium ion 4,000mAh battery, while the device also features accelerometer, Geo-magnetic and Light devices.

The company is planning to ship the Wi-Fi only model of the Galaxy Tab 3 across the globe in May and will be followed by a 3G version in June.
