Samsung Electronics has expanded its Galaxy smartphone portfolio, with the addition of the new GALAXY S4 LTE-A, which claimed to be first commercially available LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) smartphone.

According to the company, the LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) smartphone has all the features of the GALAXY S4 along with facility to provide network speeds of 150MBps, two times more faster compared to its predecessor, while offering better multimedia experience.

The smartphone is powered by the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM and runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 version operating system.

GALAXY S4 LTE-A

Samsung Electronics IT & Mobile Communications Division CEO and president JK Shin said, "The introduction of the GALAXY S4 LTE-A demonstrates Samsung’s desire and ability to provide consumers with technological innovations that take advantage of increased network speeds to deliver richer and fuller experiences."

The smartphone is made available with features like the ImageON, which identifies images being watched by the user and plays videos related to the image with one click along with a high resolution Digital Media Broadcasting service.

Features of the smartphone include comes with a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display that has a 441ppi resolution, 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera.

GALAXY S4 LTE-A comes with 32GB internal storage memory that can be expanded to 64GB through a microSD card and supports 4G LTE-A, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and NFC connectivity.
