Budget smartphone and tablet maker Prestigio has released a new line of tablets – MultiPad 4 Quantum 7.85, MultiPad 4 Quantum 9.7 and MultiPad 4 Quantum 10.1.
All models run on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and come with quad-core processors and a quad-core graphics card, making it faster than previous MultiPads.
The Cyprus-based company, which released the Multiphone 5430 in August 2013, said the devices include IPS technology, providing more accurate colours and viewing angles than before.
There’s also plenty of storage available with a 32GB SSD, a micro-USB port for extra mobility and longer battery life, although Prestigio did not specify the battery’s time-span.
When CBR asked for details on the length of battery life, a spokesperson for the company said: "There isn’t really a straight answer…Quad core has less demand on it for the same functions and so same size battery can theoretically give up to 50% longer battery life. However in reality because of more and faster capabilities of quad core, actual difference tends to be about 25% for same size battery."
Martin MacNamara, UK sales director at Prestigio, added: "The 1.6GHz quad-core processors are our quickest yet, guaranteeing even faster web-browsing and downloading. We’re committed to high-tech, luxurious products and the Quantum collection is no exception with its sleek aluminium design."
The new quad-core models are available from Maplin, Amazon, Littlewoods, Very.co.uk and also include a two-year warranty and unlimited UK technical support.
The MultiPad 4 Quantum 7.85 is priced at £139.99, while pricing for the MultiPad 4 Quantum 9.7 and MultiPad 4 Quantum 10.1 is £199.99 and £169.99 respectively.
"These tablets offer brilliant value for money with great hardware, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, affordable prices, and our unique warranty and technical support offering," said MacNamara.
