Systems integration firm PBG Networks has incorporated embedded electronics, engineering designs offerings provider Interphase’s clouDevice desktop virtualisation portfolio.

Under the partnership, PBG Networks has introduced K12Cloud client, a new customised version of clouDevice virtual desktop clients, which has been preapred to serve the cloud computing needs of the K-12 education community.

The PBG K12Cloud client bundles a clouDevice client with various application access, virtualisation and security services to facilitate school IT directors to employ educational applications deployed in a public or private cloud.

PBG Networks senior vice-president & CTO Scott Brousseau said by leveraging the clouDevice technology, which offers an affordable and innovative substitute for traditional desktop computers, PBG has created the K12Cloud, a cloud services solution that meets the specific needs of K-12 school systems.

Interphase clouDevice business manager HJ Li said Interphase is very excited about the partnership with PBG Networks.

"The combination of clouDevice industry-leading price/performance and PBG Networks application and service bundling offers school districts an innovative, robust, and cost-effective cloud computing client solution," said HJ Li.
