Ovi Store roll-out has begun and Nokia said that the store was opened to users of a few of its phone models in Australia and Singapore.

Ovi Store is Nokia’s content store and download application for applications, games, wallpapers, themes, ringtones and video clips. It is Nokia’s very own version of Apple’s App Store. The AAS has proved popular with one billion applications downloaded in less than a year, now Nokia aims to follow the success of AAS with recently launched Ovi.

The roll out of Ovi Store, in other countries, is expected to take place over the next few days. Reportedly, Nokia is doing performance tests and checks before the formal launch.
