Microsoft and Blackberry have reduced prices of their flagship products, including Surface and Z10 devices respectively, as part of their efforts to boost sales.
The US software giant dropped the price of its 32GB Surface RT to £279 from £400, with the 64GB model priced at £359.
Similarly, Blackberry trimmed down the price of the Z10 phone to as low as $49 with a contract, a drop from $199 four months before, according to BBC.
Sporting their latest software, both firms have tried to compete with other tech firms including Apple, Google and Samsung on smartphones and tablets.
Microsoft claims that the company is witnessing great success with pricing and cover promotions over the past several months on Surface RT in the US and other markets.
Recently, Microsoft revealed plans to sell the devices to major organisations via resellers, in a bid to sales by targeting corporate customers.
During the initial three months of 2013, Blackberry shipped one million Z10s, while Microsoft reported sales of 900,000 Surfaces tablets during the same period.
