Lenovo has launched a new workstation for professionals working in computer-aided design, product development and architecture.
The ThinkStation E32 has been made available with Intel Xeon E3 and fourth generation Intel Core i7 and Core i5 processors as well as featuring improved memory and graphics capabilities to offer better performance and productivity.
ThinkStation E32 comes with Autodesk AutoCAD LT trial version, Microsoft’s Windows 8 Pro and is claimed to be certified to run applications from independent software vendors including Adobe, PTC, SolidWorks and Siemens.
Vertical marketing director Rob Herman said: "The ThinkStation E32 is a design workhorse, giving users workstation level performance and effortless productivity on a PC-sized budget."
Features of the new device include Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory that reduces the possibility of memory-related errors and critical data loss as well as 1600MHz DDR3 Memory DIMMs capability.
The ThinkStation E32 is available in two models, both of which feature NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards as well as Intel P4600 HD graphics.
Additionally, the E32 supports large memory needs of about 32GB and has two USB 3.0 ports in the front of the chassis totalling to six USB 3.0 ports, which offer ten times faster transfer rates compared to USB 2.0, the company said.
