Interoute has signed a new five-year agreement with Ciena Specialist Serices for managed field services support across its Pan-European network operations.
Under the terms of agreement, Ciena will provide Interoute with multivendor first line maintenance (FLM), effectively becoming its field service partner of choice in the selected countries.
In addition, Ciena’s professional services specialists will be aided by its partner – Indigo Telecom Group, which specialises in design, planning, build, supply, management and maintenance of telecommunications networks across the UK/Ireland and mainland Europe.
Ciena said that the specialist services is designed to help service providers and enterprises maximise their network infrastructure investment to reduce costs, increase revenue, improve profitability, and accelerate time-to-market.
Interoute vice president of infrastructure engineering and field operations Andy Hudson said that the Ciena specialist services package has proven to be exactly what we were looking for, especially in terms of providing support across multiple manufacturers’ products.
