Intel has unveiled a new range of processors called dual OS platform, which is capable of running both the Windows and Android operating systems on a single device.
The technology would allow the user to switch from one OS to the other with a single tap of a button.
Intel is also planning to develop new processors for PC’s that would be capable of supporting the dual OS platform.
According to an analyst, the dual OS platform technology would damage both the Android and Windows ecosystems and leave the users in confusion.
Asus has already announced that its Transformer Book Duet would run both the Android and Windows operating systems, and switch between them.
Transformer Book Duet features a Intel Core i7 processor with Intel HD graphics and 4G DDR3L 1600 RAM which claimed to give better performance compared to tablets powered by ARM processors.
