Google has launched a next generation Wi-Fi router, dubbed OnHub, in an attempt to attract more users towards its product offerings.
The cylindrical shaped device features internal antennas and is designed to provide better connectivity.
The device searches the airwaves and connects to the best channel for the fastest connection, and features smart software that operates in the background, which helps the device to avoid interference.
Users will also be able to prioritise a device in order to get the best connectivity for the most important task.
With the partnering Google On app, users will be able to get details of the bandwidth used by the devices and the app will let users run network checks. In case of a problem, the app will also offer suggestions to help.
Network company TP-LINK is manufacturing the device and ASUS will be the second manufacturing partner for the product.
Like Chrome, the hardware automatically updates with the latest security features without disrupting the connection, and will support the next generation smart devices.
The product is available for pre-order across US on Google Store, Amazon, and Walmart.com.
