Social media accounts linked to Google Glass, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others have been shut down.
A statement on the Google Plus page said: "Hi Explorers, we’ve had a blast hanging out with you on G+ throughout the Explorer Programme."
Users are now urged to get in touch with questions on the support page for Glass.
Last year, Google stopped production of its smartglass prototype, indicating an end to the Explorer programme which allowed software developers to purchase Glass for $1,500.
The headset has received huge criticism and legislative action due to privacy and safety concerns.
The company renamed its Glass wearable project as Aura, and appointed Amazon Lab126 consumer electronics experts to the board.
Last month, Google filed a new application with the US Federal Communications Commission for a new version of Google Glass.
Google Glass was developed by Google X, the facility within the company dedicated to technological advancements like driverless cars. It was one of the first devices to feature an optical head-mounted display.
The first version of the Google Glass technology became available in April 2013 in the US for a limited period. In May 2014, the wearable was made widely available to the consumer market.
Google Glass applications are free apps built by third-party developers. Apart from the touchpad, it can be controlled using voice actions.
